thank you joy ! oh, i think i know at least one carver, who did as his first piece a wonderful horse,,,and i am not sure if i tried one it would become that great. but yes, i am quick, and i posted this to encourage all carvers to believe in own abilities, that is the key.

Ok, so this is the offtopic chatting area, and I’m going to take advantage of it! Ok, so I’m a ‘Doris & Mark’ groupie. I’m 61 years old and didn’t just fall off the turnip wagon! It seems that a person that has knowledge from experience is shunned by the general public if that knowledge goes against the grain of the ‘accepted’ teachings.

I mean, after all, Socrates didn’t fair too well in his quest for democracy! I guess that I’ll have to camp myself here to continue to learn! I hope that the actions of a few don’t ruin the possibilities of learning for the rest of us. I have learned much from you two and I wish to continue. At my age, I need to learn a little faster than most, as I have to pack it in a smaller number of years … lol!

Please continue with your blog, examples and teaching, knowing that there are some of us that recognize a good thing when we see it!

By the way, if this post is out of line, feel free to delete it. I just had to let off some steam and let you all know my thoughts.
